Fresno, California (PRWEB) July 26, 2010 The profession of nonrecreational photography and the consumers that purchase that photography are faced up by a crisis that grows with each going through day. College students, soccer moms and even eminent school students without any training in photography are commercializing their services to the purchasing common. These naive camera owners are snapping weddings, older portraits, family reunions and other once in a lifetime events without any training in photography and the moderate consumer has no idea until it is too advanced! In this short, humorous video the fictional character of Newfus is the new face of professional photography. From his “lemonade style” photo stand up in his front yard, he attempts to trade passersby a photograph for 25 cents or wedding photography for $ 29.95. Newfus and his client quickly larn of his restricted skills. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qn-w7fDH6y4 Jeff Smith, Professional Photographer, author of 13 books about nonrecreational photography and owner of Smith & Co. Studios, a Senior Portrait Studio in Fresno, Ca., created this video to boost those camera owners that desire to prosecute a career as a professional photographer to actually learn about photography before seeking to work with clients, as well as seeking to school the purchasing common about this maturing problem. Every person larning photography has to get down somewhere, but paying clients are not the training ground for our profession.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 5, 2006 In a hot pink house in Los Angeles, California, a photography studio run by two women has become the site of a growing trend – women are anxious to be transformed into that bathing beauty with a whip in her hand Bettie Page. With the upcoming release of Picturehouse and HBO Film’s “The Notorious Bettie Page” (starring Gretchen Mol) on April 14, 2006, the studio phone has been ringing off the hook with housewives and working women interested in temporarily turning themselves into the model-come-dominatrix. In fact Bettie Page is so democratic nowadays, that recently she was #9 on the list of the top 20 gross searches on Yahoo and #12 on Google’s “Zeitgeist” list. All things “retro” are back in. “The appear the women are often traveling for when they come in for a photo pip is that vintage-style posturing made known by much classical pinups as Betty Grable and Jane Mansfield,” says Lori Mann, photographer and co-owner of Pink Kitty Studios. “But lately, the clients are specifically inquiring for the Bettie Page style, which is a bit more leather than lace,” Lori giggles, “and her hair style and clothing choices prompt us of the actual ‘gothic’ genre and therefore appeals to younger women as well”. (Vintage hair and make-up styling is also substantive, and developed experts are conveyed in to the studio to expend a couple hours with the women before piping begins.) “I think the reason that she is so democratic proper now,” says Adrienne Cragnotti, co-owner and clothing stylist at Pink Kitty Studios, “is because on the one hand her poses and expressions show that cloying innocence that the vintage pinups of the 1940’s incarnated, but she also represents a muscular woman who is in control… sometimes literally with a whip in her hand!” This is more mirrorlike of today’s woman who is a care giving mother, lover and friend, but also often a business owner or corporeal executive. “Bettie Page represents a more equilibrated woman than the older vintage models who appeared powerless and assailable, and synchronal women can tie in to her more easily.” Lori adds, “and I think their boyfriends and husbands, who often have the photographs as a surprise attendant, rather like the sassy images too!” Lori and Adrienne are co-owners of Pink Kitty Studios, and both have been in the glamour photography business for over 15 years. What makes them incomparable is that both have been in front of the camera themselves many times. Plus, the women are more at ease with them then they often are with male boudoir photographers. “And,” Lori adds, “many of the women state that they’re not bound how their husbands would finger about them shedding their clothes for a male photographer!” Pink Kitty Studios has been featured on television on The Today Show, Inside Edition, ABC News, Fox11 News, UPN News 13, KCAL’s 9 On The Town and on radio on KROQ’s Morning Show with Kevin and Bean […]
